Still cant post a reply to the orignal thread. I can assure you that we don't condone the language and I appreciate your efforts to keep the server clean. We have enjoyed playing on the server and look forward to possibly visting in the future.

Im not sure where to go to talk to Eternity but Im going to post it here. On April 30 a guy named FAF ugotowned said he was Jesus. PS1441 Anonindiviual kicked him I have no problem with that whats so ever.Ugotowned came back in and said he was joking and everyone seemed to be making a comment about it. I have no problem with that .ugotowned was wondering why he got kicked so Anonindividual kicked him again cuz he wouldn't drop the subject have no problem with that either. I decided to lovingly tell ugotowned im glad u came back! he said y? and I said besides the fact that you joked around I like playing with you. Ugotowned didn't say anything but with out a warning PS1441 Anonindvidiual decided to kick me out because I said that to him because he felt I was bringing up the conversation again witch I wasn't. Doesn't God tell me to love my enemies? I have encountered several times people who have been my buddy and gone into the Christian server and curse and they get kicked and they send me a message cursing and asking why they got kicked out. I dont ignore them I tell them what kind of Christians would we be if we allowed people to curse and then I will tell them I sorry that happened to you.You wanna know what they say? they say I was a jerk im sorry and how can I go back on to the server. Doesn't the bible say to love your brother and sister and yet with out a warning im kicked from the server. When your own team mates kick you it shows to the non believers that they have no respect for their own people.Some Admins tend to get to boot happy. Please contact me on this im discouraged:I

i see where you are coming from. i made a typing error with the kick. it should have been a warn. however i did ask that it be dropped completely. it did not serve any purpose to possibly start up the conversation again on the server. i know that your intentions are good but you could not have know how the other person would respond. i have seen people start cursing people out because of innocent yet unnecessary comments.

this is the proper way to handle the situation. note the differences.

1. the person came to you
2. the messages were NOT in public server chat.

i agree with what you are saying but ingame is not the place for this interaction to take place. buddy messages are private and there is no risk of the person going further off the deep end on the server.

first of all there was a warning. an admin message was sent out after the second kick warning that if the conversation was continued there would be repercussions.

secondly what would people think if the admin gave a team member a lighter punishment than a non team member. how can we call ourselves followers of God but measure our own people by a different standard than we use for others? this has nothing to do with respect. this is an admin carrying out their duties fairly.


all that said i can understand where you're coming from. before i was an admin i would have said the same thing. and i would have thought, after reading this post, that the admin that wrote it was just putting up lame excuses to offset their obvious failure. non-admins have no idea what we deal with. admins see and have to take care of things that the players hardly ever see. you would be amazed how often the scenarios i described in this post take place. right now there are 878 people in the ban list. that doesnt count those who have been unbanned. if you look at the reasons for ban you see nothing but hate, anger, rottenness. people do things that we wouldn't even consider possible on our servers. that is why as an admin we can't take chances. it is better to diffuse a potential situation with a kick than to end up having to ban one or more people.


i hope this doesn't come across as rude or condescending. i appreciate where you're coming from but the best intentions in the wrong place or time can be detrimental.

Girl4Jesus - Thanks for the way you approached this, patient, gracious, following up.

As you can figure, running the admin side is difficult, and in the midst of things the admin's call can sometimes be mixed up (e.g., typo on the warn vs. kick). Then there is the call, "how do I secure this for this round, this evening, etc."

And none of us operate with perfection, alas.

That said, I think things are OK here, or they will be - and the individual kicked was well received by you, there is a dialog going on now, and there is much room for grace.

One of the essentials in this enterprise (well, ANY enterprise) is to hold to God's love and his absolute sovereignty. We really can trust him to be using everything we're doing here for an eventual good for His people. It's very difficult to SEE that sometimes (maybe a lot of the time, depending on the season and trials in which we are living), but it's something that I and the MT count on in all these interactions. Even our mistakes are being used. Even our sinful responses get used in the total picture - which completely floors me every time I get to see it worked out.

We can really trust God to be at work in all these things - even mid-game conflict (however mild and/or gracious).

If we couldn't trust Him for this, we'd not have a server or team at all I think.
